Summary |
The Protection Profile Digital Tachograph - Vehicle Unit (VU PP) addresses security requirements for a vehicle unit (VU) in the sense of Annex I B of Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1360/2002 intended to be installed in road transport vehicles. The purpose of the VU is to record, store, display, print and output data related to driver activities and it also records user activity data in tachograph cards. The VU is connected to the External GNSS Facility for position data and is connected to a motion sensor with which it exchanges vehicle's motion data. The VU outputs data to display, printer and external devices. |

The Protection Profile is an update of the Protection Profile V1.0 (BSI-CC-PP-0057-2010) that was related to the old EU regulation Commission Regulation (EC) No. 1360/2002. |
